The Iomairt promotes Gaelic in the city of Edinburgh through various projects including;

• Gaelic medium camera club at James Gillespie's High School
• Mòd club working with Gaelic pupils at Tollcross Primary School
• Collaboration with Comunn nam Pàrant on Edinburgh Gaelic Schools week and Parental Advisory Scheme
• Weekly conversation group on Monday mornings in Caffè Nero Princes Street
• Trips outside the city to engage with other Gaelic speakers
