CNSA Latha Gàidhlig - Port Rìgh

Disathairne 28mh Faoilleach 2006

Chaidh Latha Gàidhlig a chumail ann an Port Rìgh an t-seachdain seo chaidh às leth Comhairle nan Sgoiltean Àraich.

Ged a b'fheudar àite eadar-dhealaichte a chleachdadh, bha an latha air leth soirbheachail le mu 200 daoine bho gach ceàrn den Eilean Sgitheanach an làthair.

Bha an latha na dheagh eisimpleir air cho math sa thèid cùisean nuair a bhios na buidhnean Gàidhlig ag obair còmhla.

Bha riochdairean bho CNSA, CnaG, Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd, Fèisean nan Gàidheal agus Sgleog an làthair. Bha taghadh math de leabhraichean bho Comhairle na Leabhraichean ri reic cuideachd.

Chòrd an latha ris a chlann agus bha tòrr rudan aca ri dhèanamh.

Thuirt Lorna bho CNSA a chuir an latha air dòigh:
“Bha sinn airson latha a chur air dòigh far am faighear fiosrachadh mu na rudan Gàidhlig a tha a' dol air adhart san Eilean. Bha stuth ri fhaighinn mu dheidhinn buidhnean pàrant is pàiste, clasaichean Gàidhlig, campaichean Sradagan agus Fèisean. Chaidh cùisean glè mhath agus tha mi airson taing a' thoirt dhan h-uile duine a thug taic dhuinn.

CNSA Family Fun Day - Portree

Saturday 28th January 2006

Comhairle nan Sgoiltean Araich held a family fun day in Portree on the Isle of Skye last Saturday.

Despite a last minute change of venue, the fun day was a huge success with around 200 people from all over Skye attending the event during the course of the day.

The day was a good example of how effective it is when all the different Gaelic organisations work together.

There were representatives from CNSA, CnaG, Highland Council, Fèisean nan Gàidheil and Sgleog. There was also a good selection of Gaelic Books available for sale from Comhairle nan Leabhraichean.

All the children had a great day with lots of activities to keep them busy.

Lorna McDiarmid from CNSA who organised the event said
“We decided to hold a fun day to give parents and other people interested in Gaelic information about everything that was going on in Skye, like a one stop shop for information on everything from parent and child groups to Gaelic classes, Sradagan camps to Fèisean. The day went really well and I would like to thank all the people involved in making it such a success”
