Air Diardaoin 15 Ògmhios ann an Campus Irbhinn aig Colaiste Cille Mhearnaig fhuair na h-oileanaich a ghabh pàirt anns a’ chùrsa bogaidh na teisteanasan aca. Chuir seo crìoch air deagh bhliadhna dhaibh, bha feadhainn aca dìreach air tilleadh air ais bho seachdain ionnsachaidh aig Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. Anns an dealbh chì sibh na h-oileanaich leis na teisteanasan aca, cuideachd anns an dealbh tha na h-oileanaich eile bhon Cholaiste a tha aig ìrean eile de dh' ionnsachadh Gàidhlig, Cairistiona Combe an t-oide aca, Annette Biggar, Oifigear Leasachaidh Gàidhlig airson Siorrachd Inbhir Air a Tuath agus Sìne NicIlleathain bho Chomunn na Gàidhlig a thug seachad na teisteanasan.

’S e là mòr eile ann an eachdraidh Campus Irbhinn a bha seo cuideachd, seo an latha mu dheireadh a bhiodh iad air fad a' tachairt an seo bhon a’ chiad là a thòisich iad ann an 2001, tha an Campus ga dhùnadh agus tha iad a’ gluasad gun Colaiste Chille Mhearnaig fhèin anns an t-Sultain.

Fhuair na h-oileanaich maoineachadh bho Chomunn na Gàidhlig agus Riaghaltas na h-Alba airson an t-seachdain aca ann an Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.

Gaelic Students at Kilmarnock College

Tuesday 20th June 2006

On Thursday 15 June, in the Irvine Campus of Kilmarnock College, the Gaelic Immersion students received their certificates. This ended a very good year for them as some of them had just returned from a weeks tuition in Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. In the photograph you will see the students with their certificates, also you will see the other students who attend the college and are at different stages of learning Gaelic, Christeen Combe their lecturer, Annette Biggar, Gaelic Development Officer for North Ayrshire Council and Sheena MacLean of Comunn na Gàidhlig who also presented the certificates.

It was another big day in the history of Irvine Campus, this would be the last day that they would all be meeting in Irvine since the Gaelic courses began in 2001, the Campus is closing and they are moving in September to the Main Campus in Kilmarnock.

The students received funding from Comunn na Gàidhlig and the Scottish Executive for their week at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.
